THE LITTLE STORY

During the COVID period, Maude asked her Les Bornées community why they chose to do sports with them. A very simple question that would eventually lead to the creation of the Smatchy project, because the most common answer from members was disarmingly simple: “I don’t like working out alone.”

Curious and intrigued by this idea, Maude began researching and found no application that truly addressed this need. That’s when the idea for Smatchy was born.
It took two years of work and development to release the first version of the application in December 2023.

THE COMPANY BEHIND THE APP

Smatchy grew out of a community before it became a company. The project was imagined in 2022, in the wake of Les Bornées, and the first version of the app was released in December 2023 on the App Store and Google Play.

Today three activities move forward together. The app, which connects people who play sport near each other and whose matching stays free. Les Bornées, the community that runs the outings and keeps things alive on the ground. And a sports travel agency, currently being registered, that extends those encounters over several days.

It is this trio that sets Smatchy apart from a simple matchmaking app. The community creates the habit, the app makes it possible everywhere, and the agency turns an outing into an experience.
